Customer Service Centre in Riga Central Station is closed

Due to the rapid spread of the new coronavirus, the JSC "Pasažieru vilciens" Customer Service Center in the Riga railway station has been closed from March 14 to April 14 in the interest of public safety and health.

Exterior Design of the New Electric Trains

On 12 February, the Minister for Transport Tālis Linkaits met with the Chairman of JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” Rodžers Jānis Grigulis, as well as the representatives of ŠKODA VAGONKA a.s. – the Chairman of the Board Martin Bednarz and the Sales Area Director Ivo Gurňák to discuss the production of electric trains. During the meeting, the Minister received a model of the new electric train as a gift, thus, for the first time, allowing to present the design of future trains to a wider public in Latvia.

Following the joining of JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” to the Eurail Group transport network, foreign passengers who have purchased passes issued by the Eurail Group will be able to travel by train to 33 European countries, including Latvia. The most important advantage of the Eurail Group pass is the flexible access to most trains in Europe - unlike the traditional train ticket, the Eurail Group pass allows you to take any route at any time.

In Latvia, already more than 50 state and local government bodies, businesses and non-governmental organizations have been involved in the anti-fraud movement #Fraudoff! (#Atkrāpies!) to work together in combating various forms of fraud and raising public awareness.

90.1% of regular customers are satisfied with passenger train traffic in Latvia

In 2018 JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” carried 18.08 million passengers, an increase of 4.3% compared to 2017. Furthermore, the results of customer satisfaction survey conducted by JSC “Pasažieru vilciens” show that 90.1% of regular customers are satisfied with passenger train traffic in Latvia.
